Peugeot already has in the Argentine salons the 301, a sedan of four doors made in Spain that is located below the 408. In this way, it remains like the tricuerpo option more accessible of the mark. It is the only car in the small segment that offers a diesel option.
With 4.45 meters in length it aims at a family use, with generous interior space and 506 liters of cargo volume in the trunk. The backs can be countersunk in halves. It arrives with the last restyling that gained its design in Europe, in which they mainly changed the grill and the optics.
Some equipment of the basic versions (Allure) are: electric steering, computer on board, fog lamps and remote central locking. The full versions (Allure Plus) add cruise control, 7-inch touch screen, Mirror Screen to “mirror” the screen of the cell in the car. Below you can see the complete list.
The engines are two. The first is a naphther 1.6 of 115 hp with manual fifth or sixth automatic box (camshaft). The second, a diesel HDI 1.6 of 92 hp, with only five-speed manual transmission. This “gasolier” mechanic is one of the differences of the 301 in front of its “twin brother”, the Citroën C-Elysée, that is manufactured in the same Spanish plant and arrives only naftero.
Safety is one of the strengths of a small car segment: all 301 are standard with stability control, four airbags and isofix hooks for children’s strollers.
